Union1 Girl Scout District Family Campaign
What is Family Campaign? Family Campaign is a program that encourages
families to support Girl Scouting through charitable contributions.
Where does the money go? Capital Investments, Financial Assistance, and Community Outreach.

Our 2006-2007 Family Campaign Goal was $12,000...at the end of the Girl Scout year (Sept 30) our total
contribution was $3,666.60 or 30.5% of the goal.
Union 1 has fallen short of it's goal for the past few years even though we are one of the largest and
well organized districts in GSHNC. We are going to change that for the 2007-2008 year by getting out
the word and asking everyone in our Union 1 Girl Scout family to get involved!
Our 2007-2008 Family Campaign Goal is $13,250 (runs 10/1/07-9/30/08).
We are currently at $3818.00 or 28.8% of our goal.

Family Campaign Events/Activities for the 2007-2008 year include:
- September 2007 - Lead by Example program starts
(100% participation by District Team, Leaders, Troops, Girls)
- September 22, 2007 - Uniform Swap/Shop sponsored by Troop 2537
- October 1, 2007 - Coin Drive starts - continues to 12/31

- October 26, 2007 - Me & My Gal Bingo - donations accepted
- December 31, 2007 - Coin Drive ends
- March 2008 - GS Week- Give in the name of your loved one or GS leader
(Educate families about FC needs, matching donations, endowments, etc…)
- March 4, 2008 - Roller Skating Fundraiser
- April 5, 2008 - Me & My Guy Dance - donation accepted
- May 3, 2008 - District Rummage Sale proposed?? -families donate items for sale
- May 2008 - Early Bird Registration -donations accepted
- June 1, 2008 - District Bridging Event - donations accepted
- Date TBA- Karaoke event sponsored by Julie Shillingberg's troop
