District Meeting Recap

January 2008

Some items from our District meeting:

n 87 pairs of PJ's were collected at our Leader/Daughter PJ party to be given to Turning Point.

n Look for emails from the leaders of Troops 1279 & 3403 regarding their requests for donations for their Bronze Award projects.

n The 3 top winners of the Family Campaign coin drive were troops:  2860, 1019 and 2865.  Congratulations on receiving Papa John's gift certificates and for your outstanding job for our Family Campaign.

n Cookie forms are due to Chris by this Friday, January 18th.  You must also provide proof of your troop checking account (a cancelled check or deposit slip) with the order forms.

n Deadline for Thinking Day registration was today.

n Our Black History Month event registration was available at the meeting today.  The event takes place on Saturday, February 2nd.  The committee chairperson will email the registration to the leader group for those who couldn't make today's meeting.  This is a fantastic event and counts toward the "pluralism" requirement for the Outstanding Troop Award.

n Mentor-Leader training is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, February 5th.  Look for an email from Patti Belcourt to confirm this. 

n Congratulations again to the 8 girls who will be going on GS Destinations this summer:  Gini, Claire, Lauren, Emily, Mallory, Hallam, Jessie, Megan.
